Safety & Privacy

How does She&Her verify users?

Every user must complete a one-time identity verification during onboarding using a government-issued ID. This helps us create a trusted space free from catfishing, bots, and fake accounts.

What data does She&Her collect during onboarding?

We collect limited information such as name, age, ZIP code, gender identity, and photo ID for verification. Your data is encrypted and never shared with third parties. We only use it to ensure community integrity and enhance the matching experience.

Can I control who sees my profile?

Yes. You can limit visibility by distance, age range, or “community only” mode, where your profile is visible only to verified She&Her members.

What should I do if someone makes me feel unsafe?

You can block or report any user instantly from their profile or chat. Our Trust & Safety team reviews all reports within 24 hours.

Using the App

How does the matchmaking algorithm work?

Our AI Matchmaking engine uses your preferences, proximity, interaction patterns, and shared community interests to surface compatible matches. Over time, it learns from your choices to refine recommendations—always within your set boundaries.

What are communities on She&Her?

Communities are micro-spaces where users can join based on interests, location, or goals (e.g., entrepreneurship, wellness, activism, art). It’s a way to form deeper connections beyond dating.

How does the events feature work on She&Her?

She&Her hosts curated local and virtual events—from brunches and panels to yoga sessions and mixers. You can RSVP directly in the app, view attendees, and connect afterward through private chat.

Can I use She&Her for Friendship Only?

Absolutely. During onboarding, you can select your intent: dating, friendship, professional networking, or “open to all.” You’ll only see profiles aligned with your chosen intent.

Is She&Her availiable on iOS and Android?

The beta version is available for both iOS and Android. The General Availability (GA) release will include expanded features like AI Matchmaking and event booking.

How do I reset my password or recover my account?

Tap “Forgot Password?” on the login screen. Follow the secure link sent to your verified email to reset it.

I'm having trouble uploading my ID. What should I do?
